The AMA is hoping to increase our blogging frequency and include general members in the creation of our website's content. This is your chance to showcase your knowledge of the marketing industry, upcoming trends, and brand strategies. However, you do not need to be a marketing major to enter this contest. Blogging topics can include but are not limited to:

  • Marketing trends

  • Branding strategies

  • Advertising

  • SEO and digital marketing

  • Market research

  • Analytics

  • Company marketing analysis 

  • The future of marketing

  • Marketing news and current events

  • Op-ed (opinion pieces)

All quality blog entries will be posted to with credit to the author (must be a registered AMA member). If you already have a personal marketing blog, will include a link to your personal website. 


The best blog will receive a gift card.

Blogs will be judged based on:

  • Quality of writing

  • Conveyance of message

  • Persuasiveness

  • Use of images/charts/graphs/links

  • Relevance of topic

  • Creativity

Most importantly, your blog should be interesting! After all, we're marketers.

Keep in mind that this is a great opportunity to have your writing published on a marketing focused website and something you can discuss in interviews and at networking events.
