What do you like most about AMA?

I am a supply chain management major, so I sometimes get asked the question, “Why AMA?” I almost always say that the events, workshops, speakers, and opportunities are why I joined AMA. This group does so much in one semester, that it sometimes amazes me that everything we do only spans a few months. I like how active we are and strive to be, and the E-Board and general members are just as active. I have met some amazing people who are going on to do some amazing things in marketing, and I only hope that I will be doing some amazing things in my field as well.

What are some of your hobbies, interests and career goals?

I like watching new shows, watching old reruns of my favorites, or catching up on new episodes. I also like watching “bad” movies with my boyfriend. We will look through Netflix, Hulu, or even Amazon Prime and hunt down the most ridiculous looking movie. Sometimes we still get drawn into the plot, accidentally. I have not read much for myself while being in school, but I do still love staying up late to read. I also like playing almost any video game with Mario, and Animal Crossing where I get to design my own island.

How do you think your experience on E-Board and being a member of AMA has prepared you for potential internships?

Internships are always looking for people who are able to plan and prepare ahead, but they also want people who are adaptable. I work to help plan some of the events that AMA hosts, but when last minute changes must be made, I am always ready to make the necessary changes. I have also gotten much better at staying organized and making to-do lists.
