Graduation: April 2020
What do you like most about the AMA?
The best thing about AMA is the people that make up the organization. AMA would truly be nothing if it were not for the dedicated and passionate students that come to our meetings every week. It is incredible to see the friendships that develop and the memories that are made. AMA is a great organization for professional development but even better at connecting students with each other and allowing them to grow together.
What are some of your hobbies, interests and career goals?
I would call my interest in finding new foods my biggest hobby. I love trying new things and seeing what different places have to offer. I also have a crafty side and enjoy painting, drawing and videography. It has always been a dream of mine to work for a marketing agency in Downtown Chicago. I love the city and think it would be a great experience for me to have. Ultimately, my end goal would be to start my own company or small business. I grew up in a restaurant business and saw all the hard work and dedication that my parents put into their business. This sparked my interest in me at a young age to create something of my own. It would be very rewarding to create something that brings joy to people's lives and gives back to the community.
How do you think your experience on E-Board and being a member of AMA has prepared you for potential internships?
My executive position on AMA has given me more experience than any class has ever offered. It goes beyond reading a textbook or taking an exam. AMA has taught me the importance of teamwork, organization but most of all is the attitude. My role in AMA has taken me from an average student who had no self-confidence, to an outgoing energetic go-getter. It has been an incredible journey of growth for myself and it's all because I took a chance one year ago to apply for E-Board. I could not be more grateful for the opportunities I have gotten because of the person AMA has made me today. AMA is one of the main reasons I was able to land an internship over the summer.
